Rejtek jelentése: menedék, elrejtés, leplezés, titok őrzése. | Rejtek means (in hungarian language): concealment, hiding, keeping a secret

EN | The Carpathian Basin is the home of cultural creation. And at the same time the home of preserving the concealed ancient heritage hiding in the depth of cultures that were once adjacent but by now have drifted apart.
We have something to do here. And we have something to do with this task as well. And perhaps we are the ones who have the most to do with it. Accepting what Hamvas also predicted about the possible creation of new spiritual castes. He concluded that the spiritual caste can best be established in Eastern Europe – particularly in the nation that suffered the most during the recent centuries.
Seen from here, spiritual challenges offered by fusion music aspirations are Hungarian causes as well. Provided that we draw from a pure – in most cases equally meaning ancient – source.
Sándor Szabó and Vajk Kobza draw from a pure source. What they dare to draw for themselves is daring enough to be exceptionally exciting at the same time. Not only preserving the tradition but creating tradition as well.
They work with instruments unknown to us but definitely appearing in the ancient times of nomadic civilizations. And they create musical harmonies that have never come together before according to the world we get to know through the media. But the guzheng and the oud, psaltery and baglama happen to fit together well.
The loops of pseudo-calligraphy adorning the album cover testify that strings and loops become profoundly consubstantial threads in all that takes place on this album.
One of the musicians playing on the album, Vajk Kobza has a deep attraction to pseudo-calligraphy, secret writings with an unknown meaning that artistically always have a suggestive effect. And the secret messages of these dazzling loops on the cover are accompanied by similarly enchanting sheet music that captures the sounds of the album. In an ancient but truest order that has become unknown by now but is most profound.
Let this collection of sounds be the sounding vision of a rebirth. Knowing, as Lao-tzu pointed out, that gravity is the root of lightness; stillness, the ruler of movement.
